Love at first sight
Passionate about animals, the Gagnon family first fell in love with Chico when they experienced the service offered by Mélanie Auger and her team in the Lebourgneuf area. Two days after the family had the idea, they were already in contact with Chico to discuss the opening of their first store. Afterwards, Mrs. Auger became a mentor for them who were also setting up shop in the Capitale-Nationale region.
An experienced team
Donald and Pascale have been entrepreneurs for a long time. They worked a lot in the restaurant business where they are still very active. They have passed on their passion to their daughter Raphaële who has never hesitated to jump in on the family projects!
A bit of history
The first Chico store was founded over 35 years ago in the Hochelaga neighbourhood. Today, the company has over 70 franchises in Quebec. The Chico network experienced spectacular growth in 2008. Since then, many entrepreneurs with a passion for animals have chosen to join the Chico family by becoming franchisees. Boutiques d'animaux Chico is now the largest chain of neighbourhood pet stores in Quebec.
